HELLO, MY NAME IS JENNIFER AND I AM A HUGE SLACKER.

These past few weeks have flown by, I never thought my life was very busy but I guess around the holidays things change. I am currently 11 days behind schedule on this "30 Day Challenge". Big high five to me for falling behind. alright we since i really dont want to take 11 days to post each challenge...Im just going to do a CRAM SESSION! wahoo! reminds me of the good ol' days of high school when you forget you have a test and you are cramming the hour before hand. FUN. Ok so here we go:

Day 16: Dream House

My dream home...well right now my dream home would be Texas....ANYWHERE is Texas.

Day 17: Something You're Looking Forward To

Well I should have wrote this post on November 20th, and on November 20th I was looking forward to having my husbands family fly in for Thanksgiving. The holiday was so much fun! We had early Christmas and just hung out and enjoyed each others company since we do not get to do that very often!

Now I am looking forward to moving out of Virginia. As beautiful as it is, we have been here for 3.5 years...its time to move on.

Day 18: Something You Regret

...regrets....hmm...that's a tough one. I really don't regret anything that I can think of, because everything that I have done or been through has made me who I am today. I love who I am. How could I regret the past?

Day 15 : Bible Verse

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
 8 Love never fails.

I know this is a very well known verse, but it is beautiful. I'm sure it holds alot of meaning to alot of people, but its true, love never fails.=)

Day 12 : What You Believe

I believe in all paths to God.

I believe everything happens for a reason.
I believe in love AND marriage.

I have this fear of being alone. I like to be surrounded by people, often the center of attention!! lol Just kidding. But seriously, I do. I don't like being alone at night here way out in the country...it creeps me out because its pitch black and I feel like I'm in a fish bowl. I can only see the darkness outside, but if anyone was out there they would definitely be able to see me...even with curtains. oh well. I like the noise of the city. I wish we lived closer to the city.

That's all....

well, I'm afraid of snakes too...gross.

Day 8 : A Place You've Traveled To

Colonial Williamsburg; Williamsburg, VA
We live about 30 minutes away from this small town, I love the old town and all the history. You can still see cannon balls lodged in the old brick homes, its so cool! The "towns people" dress up in colonial attire and ride in horse and carriage. It can be kinda creepy at night, I believe its haunted...

*I know we did not have to travel far, but we love Williamsburg. There is so much to do for such a small town. There is Shopping, a Winery, Colonial town, wonderful restaurants, and beautiful countryside. It is also right by Jamestown and the first settlement!*

Day 7 : Favorite Movies

Let me start off by saying there are SO many movies that I could watch endlessly, but these are my abosolute FAVORITES!

I have always been fascinated with weather, especially tornadoes. When this movie came out I was just beside myself. Now my brother-in-law Corey and I could watch it over and over again!

I freakin love this group of guys in this movie. I can pretty much recite every line in this movie too, brings me to tears every time!
"I don't know if you know this, but I'm kind of a big deal. People know me."

"Can I just spray a little PAM down there, right before the baby comes out?"

Classic, Classic, Classic!! I love dancing around the house when this movie is on!

Rachael and I watched this ENDLESSLY in our dorm room when it first came out. If you put us on the spot, til this day, we can recite pretty much every line. We love it that much!

I love me some Harry Connick, Jr. in the movie...
Hope Floats captures my heart everytime, I just love how real it seems.

I don't what it is with me and dance movies, but Center Stage I could watch a million times over. I'm in no way a dancer, but I wish I had their flexibility

Would you like to try a combo?

I'll take Combos # 4 and #5.

P.S. I am a habitual procrastinator

Day 4: Your Parents

My parents. Hmm. Married for 20 years, divorced. Picture perfect childhood, very realistic young adulthood.

Dad
I'll start with my Dad. Up until I was 18 or so I was  Daddy's girl. He was my best friend, I wanted to be just like him. After the divorce, life changed. I was in college, dad had a new life, my sister and I weren't in it very much anymore. I was heartbroken.

Present Day, my relationship with my dad is good I guess. I talk to him every few months, I try to see him when I am in Houston. Everytime I see him or hear his voice I just want to break down and cry because I miss who he use to be. (as I am bursting into tears right now...) But my dad is a good man, he is caring and witty, and he works hard. He always taught me that things in life do not come easy, and if you want something you have work to make it happen. Isn't that the truth.

Mom
Growing up I never had the typical mother-daughter relationship. I was always trying to just keep under the radar because I felt like I could never do anything right. She was very harsh with me, criticized everything. But that is neither here nor there, after the divorce she became a different person too. She was more approachable, we became closer and started trusting each other.

Present Day, my mom is an amazing woman. Our relationship is what a mother-daughter relationship should be. I am at a loss of words for her, I am just so happy that the past 5 or 6 years we have developed a bond that cannot be broken.

With all that being said, I love my parents more than anything in this world. They gave me life, raised me to know right from wrong, and taught me to reach for the stars.

I LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD!

My mom and I : Labor Day 2010

Me, Dad, and Jaclyn (my sister) a few days before Jaclyn's wedding

Day 5: Your Siblings

I have only one biological sibling and that would be the beautiful and talented Jaclyn Rae Thomas Busa (pictured above)

Jaclyn Rae Thomas Busa (HAHA-I know you dropped 'Thomas' but its fun to see your name that long!) My baby sister. She is the most incredible human being I have ever known. Without her, my life wouldn't make sense. We are so similiar yet so different! Its insane! We sound just alike on the phone, we have the same smile, same color eyes, we even share the same 'control freak' mentality. I tell her everything. I always feel the need to take care of her even though I know I don't need to. If I could give her the world, I would.  I am her #1 fan! She give the best hugs in the world! She brings me back down to earth. But I swear, she is Martha Stuarts biggest competitor. I mean my sis does it all! Crafty beyond belief, a great baker and cook, multi talened business woman and all at the age of 22...TAKE THAT MARTHA!

Now here are two people who are as close as sisters as you can get without being biologically related.
*this is a hard subject, because I have been blessed with 2 best friends in this life time*

Rachael Elizabeth Blanton Cherry and Jessica Ann Slade

Jessica and I go back to the days of the womb. Best Friends since brith! No matter how long we drift apart, we always find our way back to each other =) ! Now that I live 1500 miles away, I think I bug her way too much on Skype. I LOVE YOU JESS!!! YOU ARE IRREPLACEABLE!

My Rache, you should have been my first love!! lol Inseperable since kindergarden. We have been through everything imaginable and back, together. We are solid, we have a bond that will never be broken, and I believe God put us on the same block for a reason! My sister from a different mister...HAHAHHAHA
20 years girl, here is to the next 100! I love you with all of my heart!

This will conclude the combo for tonight. Goodnight. Sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite!

Day 3: Your first love

My first love? Oh man. Well, what type of love do you consider to be the first?

My first crush as a small child was in kindergarden. A boy named Jeremy Gillespie. I'm pretty sure I told Rachael (yes we have been friends since the beginning of kindergarden) that I loved him. HaHa

My first crush that I fell HARD for was my freshman year of high school. Chris Malone. Damn. I thought that boy was something. I was smitten. I thought it was love, but it was exactly what my first statement said...a crush. I was crushed.

But in all honestly, I think my first real love is my husband. My love for him is so much deeper than I could ever describe or even anticipate. I am in awe of how I could ever love him more, but I do. The love we share together is completely different than just puppy love or a high school crush. It's real. It takes work.
Love is not something you just decide to feel,  it just takes over and consumes you.

** Sorry Day 3 comes to you late, but on day 3 me and some oysters became enemies. I was very sick all night long. GROSS!**

Day 2 - Meaning Behind Your Blog Name

"Blissfully Alive" is simply a statement of my life.

If you look up the meaning of  'bliss' these definitions show up:
- supreme happiness
- utter joy
- contentment
- euphoria

Everyday I feel at least one of those definitions. Not all day everyday, but everyday.

I am so greatful to be on this earth. To be able to feel the wind against my skin, smell the candles burning in my home, feel the touch of a loved one. Everyday is a gift, and I am amazed everyday when I wake up!
